Camerons kicks off 2018 with $3m AEC contract

Sydney direct mail and marketing specialist The Camerons Group has won a $3 million contract to print envelopes for the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Brief details of the deal – which runs until December 2020 – have been published on the federal government’s AusTender site.

The AEC notice describes the work as Provision of Declaration Envelopes – which are envelopes used to seal ballot papers.

The Camerons Group, based at Minto in Sydney’s south-west, is a family owned and operated direct marketing business that started out in 1963 as an envelope manufacturer and supplier.

The AEC has also updated several other major printing contracts, including its $5.6 million deal with Canberra-based Canprint Communications for the provision of Printing, Mailhouse and Fulfilment Services. The six-year agreement was amended on 18 December 2017 and runs until August 2018.

PMP Print’s $3.2 million contract to supply the AEC with printing and production services was also amended in December 2017.

IVE Group’s $2.1 million deal to provide the Electoral Commission with Printing, Packaging & Storing Ballot Material was updated in November 2017 and runs until December 2018.
