Organiser Visual Connections has been forced to turn away a handful of exhibitors after a sell-out of display space at next week’s Visual Impact show in Brisbane.

“There’s just no more space’: Peter Harper, GM Exhibitions, Visual Connections.

“We’re all sold out and it is good to see that we’re full but unfortunately we’ve had to turn away some people because there’s just no more space,” says Peter Harper, general manager, Exhibitions at Visual Connections. “We’ve had a lot of interest.

“Visitor pre-registration is going as planned, at this stage about the same as the last show in Brisbane two years ago. These days people make up their minds on the day basically so pre-registration numbers are not such an accurate indicator. But we’re optimistic about having at least as many as last time.”

Visual Impact Brisbane 2018 – ‘the largest digital print, sign, display, engraving and graphics trade show’ – will run from Thursday 19 April to Saturday 21 April, at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Major sponsors Roland DG, Graphic Art Mart, Mimaki and Euro Poles head a 70-plus exhibitor list that includes Currie Group, Spicers, Epson, Starleaton, Neopost, Pozitive, Mutoh, Australian Visual Solutions, Sign Essentials, Yello Tools, Orafol and Rowmark. A group of ten or eleven Chinese display companies also have stands.

Industry groups will include the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA), Two Sides Australia (TSA), Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA), Lithographic Institute Association (LIA) and TAFE Queensland.

“Workshops not to be missed are the Car Wrap Workshop hosted by Graphic Art Mart and Avery, and the Yello Tools workshop run by Australian Visual Solutions,” says Harper. “Plus, for the first time this year, we have Hexis Australia running a wrapping competition.”
