Graphic arts supplier GJS Group has opened a new warehouse facility in Springvale, Melbourne, a move which it says will improve dispatch and delivery times in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

The warehouse in south-eastern Melbourne will supply products from a variety of companies represented by GJS, including Epson, Brother, Roland, Sawgrass, Beaver Paper and Universal Woods. “Whilst our current dispatch and delivery times are already excellent, having equipment and consumables located within one of our biggest customer bases will increase the speed in which we can get products into our customer’s hands,” said Greg Stone, managing director, GJS.

The expansion comes after last year’s appointment of Andrew Zeiss to the role of Victoria sales and support, and was previewed at this year’s GJS roadshow, which wrapped up in August.

“We gave our Victorian, Tasmanian and South Australian customers a heads-up about the opening of our new warehouse facility at our recent Roadshow events and they were really excited to have faster access to their favourite products and consumables, so we’re confident that our new presence in Melbourne will be incredibly popular.

“It was very well-received at the roadshow, and customers love it now that it’s kicked off. This new facility allows quick dispatch to Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania – two days to Tasmania and next-day to Adelaide. In this economy, it’s critical for customers to be able to receive stock as quickly as possible,” Stone said.

This year’s roadshow was very successful, said Stone, with customers appreciating the opportunity to find out more about what GJS is planning, as well as participate in business development and technical workshops. “Attendance was bigger than last year, and every year we continue to attract more people,” he said.
