GMG launches free online ISO trials
Printers can check colour quality for themselves with GMG’s new online ISO management trials.
Kayell Australia, distributor for Germany-based GMG colour management software, has announced the availability of free online trials of three important colour applications, using customers’ own data and not ‘canned’ demonstrations with pre-arranged outcomes.
“This is a fantastic development for prepress, wide-format and press professionals alike,” said Kayell director, Robert Gatto, (pictured). “The tests are totally driven by the customer, using their own files, in their own time, in their own office and with no pushy salesman in sight.”
The three applications that can be used online are: GMG ColorProof – proofing and file conversion software to ISO 12647-7, 3DAPv3 and other specifications; GMG ColorServer – fully automated colour managed workflow for separation, conversion and re-separation and GMG InkOptimizer – saves up to 25 per cent in ink costs for printers by reducing non-essential chromatic use of ink and stabilising the process by using more black.
“Anyone can register and convert their own files, immediately and online,” said Gatto. “If they like the results, they can call us or drop by our PacPrint stand number Q50 for a more in-depth evaluation.”
