Print Finisher/Binder – to be trained as Field Service Engineer on Post Press

About Currie Group

Currie Group, a market leading supplier to the Graphic Arts Industry, is looking for a qualified Print Finisher/Binder to join our Hawthorn service division and to be trained as a service engineer.

The Role

We are looking for an extremely motivated individual to be trained to carry out maintenance, repairs and installations of our range of capital equipment to customers within the VIC market. The key areas are:

  • The installation and commissioning of capital equipment (Folding, Stitching, Guillotines etc.)
  • The repairs and maintenance of the equipment to the installed base in Melbourne and surrounding areas.
  • Varied, challenging and interesting work

Your Skill Set

  • Ideally understand the print finishing processes
  • Must have a completed bindery apprenticeship
  • Must be able to carry out mechanical repairs and basic electrical parts replacement
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Work well under pressure
  • Willing to travel interstate and overseas
  • Great communication skills, can listen as well as have the ability to establish and build both internal and external relationships
  • Disciplined approach to service reporting including service hours and parts usage
