In today’s environment, selling printing is no different to selling any other tangible manufactured product.

You need a credible knowledge of printing terminology. (i.e. different types and sizes of paper; embellishments and finishing effects). This is no different to learning any other product you sell.

The rest is about having a solid network of B2B prospects, who are likely users of printed material. i.e. booklets; brochures; manuals; stationery, Signs, Point of Sale etc.

Most of all – you will be able to demonstrate you are passionate about selling – enjoy winning business not just on price, but on quality – service and value.

All of these positions are with Companies that have solid back office systems and knowledge to support your sales efforts. These are Companies that believe in the future of Print and are capable of delivering quality, service and value to their clients.

If you have a proven sales record and ideally know something about print, are comfortable selling in the corporate sector this could be the opportunity you have been seeking.

You will also need to demonstrate you are well organized with a great eye for detail, experienced, and can plan effective use of your time without the need for constant direction.

You don’t need to be a technical print wiz, because the support is available within these companies, but you do need to know how to gain new opportunities, and develop these into long-term Client partnerships.
