Blitz and Graphic Impressions at Mulgrave in Melbourne.

Today is the last day to put in an offer for liquidated Melbourne printer Graphic Impressions, which went out of business last week. Richard Rasmussen of Ascent Partners, who is selling the business, invites anyone interested to submit their offer by 5pm Melbourne time.

The sale is for the goodwill and intellectual property of Graphic Impressions, including the customer list, data files, software, domain names, telephone numbers and logos. Equipment will likely be sold separately at auction, at a later date. Rasmussen tells Print21 he’s had plenty of interest so far. “We’ve had a substantial number of information memos go out, and as a result of that we’re hoping to get a good level of offers,” he said. “At the end of the day, we don’t know until we actually see what’s submitted by the purchasers, but based on the amount of interest, we think it’ll be good. So we’ll wait and see.”

About 60 employees from Graphic Impressions and magazine publishing partner Blitz Publications lost their jobs when the two businesses went under last Friday. Blitz, which opened in 1986, owned nine magazine brands for the health, fitness and lifestyle industries, while Graphic Impressions was established in 2001 and specialised in sheet fed offset production, both in-house and for magazine and book industry clients.

Interested parties are advised to call 0402 021 101 or email Rasmussen at by 5pm today, Eastern time, to receive an information memo and confidentiality agreement.
