Print NZ apprentice finalists announced

Finalists in the PrintNZ Apprentice of the Year Award.

Print NZ has named the Sector Apprentice of the Year winners who will go on to compete in the Print Apprentice of the Year awards at the Pride In Print Awards in Auckland on 11 May.

The winners are:
Heidelberg Sheetfed Apprentice of the Year — Jordan Lawson, Huhtamaki;
BJ Ball Papers Packaging Apprentice of the Year — Dilanka Attale, Kiwi Labels;
Wrh Global/Print Finishers Association Binding and Finishing Apprentice of the Year — Kelly-Ann Perry, Quality Print;
Trust4Skills Reelfed Apprentice of the Year — Jordan Godsiff, Stuff, Christchurch;
GAPF Digital Apprentice of the Year — James Garner, Print Central, Queenstown;
Competenz Print Diploma Student of the Year Award — Ross Craig, Jenkins Freshpac Systems.

Awards for the Training Company of the Year and individual Trainer of the Year will also be presented at this year’s Pride In Print Awards Night.

Finalists for the Trainer of the Year include:
Colin Lean, Logan Print, Gisborne
Jared Maxwell-Smith, Electronic Industries, Christchurch
Phillip Ost, NZME Print, Auckland
Brent Watson, Amcor Flexible Packaging, Christchurch

Finalists for the Training Company of the Year include:
Caxton, Christchurch
Electronic Imaging Ltd, Christchurch
Gallagher Group, Hamilton
Jenkins Freshpac Systems, Tauranga
Kiwi Labels, Christchurch
Lightning Labels, Auckland
NZME.Print, Auckland
