The printing industry’s ‘night of nights’ will this year be held in conjunction with PacPrint on Thursday, May 25, in Melbourne. Ali Quaintance, national marketing and communications manager for Printing Industries, says the circus-themed event will be a star-studded affair. “It’s all going exceptionally – judging’s complete, and we’re hugely excited about the calibre of entries we’ve received this year. We had about a 10 percent increase in entries from last year, so that was incredible,” she said.

As the awards dinner will be held during PacPrint, organisers expect plenty of international and out-of-state visitors who will come to see for themselves what the Australian printing industry has to offer.

Jen Baile, chief judge for the event, was thrilled at the high quality of entries and said she and her fellow judges had their work cut out for them. “The judges faced a challenging task determining the medallists across 23 categories. Of particular note in 2017 was the diversity in the entries received. From packaging, limited edition books, self-promotion, wide-format and beyond, we see our industry embracing different technologies to raise clients’ expectations of what they can now demand,” she said.

Attendance is expected to be high, and Quaintance advises guests to book quickly to secure their seats at the big event. “As always, tickets are in high demand and we are expecting them to increase dramatically in the coming days. Our suggestion is to avoid missing out on the printing industry’s night of nights is that you book without delay.

“What a fantastic way to draw PacPrint 2017 to a close,” she said.

Tickets are available online now.
