Celeste Halliday of Broome, WA signage company BK Signs and Promotions is the lucky winner of Print21’s PacPrint Escape trip for two to this month’s big trade show in Melbourne.

“It’s a dream come true and came as a big shock,” says Celeste. “I feel honoured to have won as I never win anything. It’s an amazing prize. We are so stoked.”

Celeste and husband Brent Halliday, who run the business together, will now get to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary during PacPrint, where they’ll enjoy three nights at the Hilton and attend the National Print Awards.

“I’ve never been to Melbourne so it’s very exciting. We were hoping to go to the show but with running the business and having kids, we doubted it would be possible. But now we’ve arranged for my eldest daughter to stay with a friend for three nights and our youngest is excited because she will get to stay with her Nana in Perth.

“We’ve been really busy with the business and we’re looking to grow so we’re very eager to see all the latest technology on offer at PacPrint and talk to people about the best signage options for us.”

Fortunately, the prize includes two return flights; otherwise, the 4,991km road trip from Broome to Melbourne on National Highway 1 would take an estimated 54 hours.

BK Signs and Promotions, a registered member of the Sign & Graphics Association of Australia, was established in 1994 to service the Kimberley and Pilbara regions of Western Australia. The company offers signage ‘from concept to construction,’ as well as design and printing, and has the only contract in WA to supply and service airports controlled by Interspace Airport Advertising, including illuminated signs and large scale billboards.

Broome is a coastal, pearling and tourist town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, 2,240 km north of Perth.

Entrants in The Great Print21 PacPrint escape – courtesy of organisers Visual Connections Australia and the PIAA – were asked to say in 30 words or less why they wanted to attend PacPrint and what they wanted to see there.
