Leading UK print management firm Hague Print has acquired Victoria trade printer Schinner Business Forms to strengthen its presence in the Australian market.

The Hague Group, which operates in 50 countries, established Hague Australia in 2014 and last year acquired Melbourne printer Foremost Print Solutions.

‘Very excited’: Simon Hayward, group director, Hague Australia.

“I’m very excited with the additional resources and production capability gained through the acquisition of Schinner,” said Hague Australia’s group director, Simon Hayward. “We will continue to offer the outstanding service and support to Schinner’s existing customers but we can now offer them a wider range of products and solutions.”

Hague director Nathan Wain said the deal came about after the company learned that Schinner managing director David Schinner was looking to leave the business that was founded by his father, John.

“We are delighted to add Schinner to our ever-increasing portfolio,” said Wain. “David wanted to exit the market to focus on other interests and Hague acted quickly to ensure continuous service to customers and employees. It is a fantastic opportunity and I’m very much looking forward to how our Australian enterprise develops.”

Schinner Business Forms, based at Springvale in Melbourne’s south-east, offers trade customers a range of services including ticketing, integrated cards and labels, micro encoding, barcodes, die cutting, banners, foil stamping and embossing. The company was established in 1984 and has offices in Victoria and Queensland.

Hague Print, headquartered near Castleford in West Yorkshire, has an annual turnover of £25m and specialises in security documents and printing, brand protection and technical solutions that safeguard customer’s brands.
