Winds of change: Simon Lane joins Ricoh

Ricoh Australia appoints Simon Lane as Country Manager for the Production Printing systems business.

Ricoh Australia has named Simon Lane as the new country manager for production printing systems business in Australia.

The former Fuji-Xerox chief marketing officer will take on the role for Ricoh’s entire production portfolio, including digital cut sheet, wide format, continuous feed and software solutions.

“I’m thrilled to join Ricoh,” said Lane.“This company has fantastic solutions, great people and an absolute commitment to meeting customer needs. We’ll stay focused on client outcomes and – most importantly – reinforce print as a compelling and enduring communication medium.”

Ricoh Australia managing director Andy Berry says Lane will be an asset to the business with his experience and knowledge of the industry.

“We are delighted that Simon has joined Ricoh. His skillset and experience of both growth companies and large multinationals will be invaluable as we drive our revenue growth and enhance momentum for Ricoh as a leading player in the production printing market,” said Berry.

Lane has more the 15 years of experience in the digital print industry, including 12 years at Fuji Xerox where he held various senior sales and marketing roles, as well as leading PMP Limited’s book printing start-up, dbooks.

    Excellent choice. Simon has a deep knowledge of the industry, gets along with customers and colleagues – and is honest! That would have to be the trifecta at FX at the moment. Well done Simon.
