Apply by Monday: $20,000 for digital transformation

The federal government is offering $20,000 digital transformation packages to small businesses, with printers urged to apply for the freebie, but they will need to get their application in over the weekend, as they only have until Monday, 4 Feb to apply.

Under the new Small Business Digital Champions programme some 100 small business will receive a $20,000 digital makeover, and of those 15 will then be selected to become Digital Champions, each paired with a high-profile small business leader (innovator) who has leveraged technology for business success.

This innovator will provide individualised advice and guide the successful applicants on their digital transformation journey. The journeys of the Digital Champions will be featured in online, interactive case studies that will provide the small business community with real-life insights into the business benefits of adopting digital technology.

The government’s motivation is to encourage growth, its figures show when small businesses are digitally engaged, they are 50 per cent more likely to be growing revenue, eight times more likely to be creating jobs, seven times more likely to be exporting, and 14 times more likely to be innovating new products or services.
