The Graphic Arts Merchants Association of Australia (GAMAA) has put out a call for applications for scholarships for its 2006 Leadership Programme. The organisation cites several important elements that will be considered when deciding who will be chosen – a demonstration of commitment to the industry, having the support of employers and meeting the academic requirements of entry.

The GAMAA Leadership Programme is now in its fourth year, and allows successful applicants to study their course of choice at any recognised Australian tertiary institution. Applicants are encouraged to select from a range of post-graduate management or business education programs that fall within the prescribed criteria.

Another feature of the Leadership Programme for those who are awarded scholarships are the tailored three-day residential workshops, which students are required to attend twice yearly. These workshops are also open to the industry at large.

Application for scholarships can be obtained from the GAMAA website at www.gamaa.net.au, or by contacting Karen Goldsmith via
karen@gamaa.net.au > The closing date for submissions is the 15th October, and interviews will be conducted during November.
