  • Commercial Notice: Packaging supplies wholesale business for sale

This wholesale business specialises in supplying corrugated cartons and packaging supplies.

It offers a full range of products, including stock cartons, made to order cartons, packaging tapes, printed tape, wrapping materials, corrugated rolls, butcher’s paper, styrene chips, strapping materials, knives and blades, rubber bands, rags, mailing tubes, mailing bags, washroom supplies and more.

This business is a niche player within the corrugated products market. Whilst the larger market players are focused on winning high-volume contracts, this organisation concentrates on fulfilling small to medium quantity orders. The business maintains customer loyalty by providing quick turnaround times for these small to medium sized customer orders.

This business has an extensive database of repeat customers. These are broadly spread with the largest customer accounting for just ten percent of total sales. As a result, the business has the benefit of not being reliant on any particular customer.

This business operates from premises in Sydney’s South West. The facility includes a warehouse space, a mezzanine office area and ample parking for employees and customers. The purchaser could either operate the business from its current location or could relocate it to their own facility.

Experienced staff are in place and take care of the day to day operation of the business. Over the past two years, the owners have not actively marketed the business. This provides an opportunity for a new owner to focus on sales, build the customer base and business value.

For the 2018 financial year, this business achieved sales of $1.5 million.

This business is being offered for sale by way of ‘expressions of interest’ – make an offer!

All offers are to be submitted to Argus Business Brokers by Monday 10 December 2018. Contact David on 0425 329 765 or for further details.

  • Commercial Notice: Megara shows how it recycles its Promeg polypropylene sheet

With plastic the hot button topic at the moment, Australian media manufacturer, Megara, has launched a video showing how it recycles its Promeg polypropylene sheet.

Promeg can be UV offset, digital flatbed or screen printed. It can also be cut, creased, embossed, foiled, glued and welded, and the non-toxic sheet is fully recyclable. Their 100 per cent recycled and 100 per cent carbon neutral sheet is called Promeg Ecorange.

There is a range of sheet held in stock and Megara can also custom make Promeg if you need a special size, finish or colour. Promeg can be used for everything from stationery products, packaging, POS displays, signage and beyond.

Megara collects offcuts, scrap, and even items such as displays and signs that have come to the end of their useful lives and recycles them here in Melbourne. This recycled material is then either put between layers of virgin Promeg, if a pure white printing-surface is required, or supplied as 100% recycled, resulting in a speckled, recycled look.

Most recycled substrates carry a premium price, but not in this case. Megara does not charge a premium for recycled or carbon neutral material, making it affordable to use.

Recycled Promeg performs just like its predecessor – you can still cut, crease, fold and print Promeg Ecorange, it’s just even better for the environment.

To request a Promeg swatch, please include your contact name, company, and address details.

  • Sydney label printer for sale ‘below value’

This fully set up label printing facility is based in Sydney’s western suburbs. It has the equipment in place to produce a comprehensive range of labels, UV printed, on various materials.

Some of the products produced by the business include pharmaceutical labels, safety labels, hazmat labels, food labels, blank labels, battery labels, shipping labels and custom labels.

    The machinery list includes:

    • Five-colour UV letterpress label press
    • Two slitting machines plus plate making equipment
    • UV rotary press (currently used for die cutting only)
    • A vast library of flatbed and rotary dies with magnetic cylinders.

The owner has recently cut back significantly on jobs produced due to personal health issues. As a result, the business has been priced to sell at below the value of the equipment. Essentially the customer list is being provided for free.

This could be an ideal purchase for a label printer or a label sales person to run their own business. It could also be a great acquisition for a printing business that would like to expand into the label printing sector. The business has an extensive database of previous clients that the new owner could work through to re-energise sales.

It may be possible that the business can either be operated from its existing location, or the new owner could relocate it to their own premises.

This business is being offered for sale at $80,000. This is significantly below the cost of setting up a similar label printing business from scratch.

If the above business is of interest, please contact David Ferraz at Argus Business Brokers on 0425 329 765 for a confidential discussion.

You can view our other print and graphics listings (plus advice on buying or selling a business) at

  • Sydney Carton Printer Closes Up Shop

    Bellmac Carton's Guidlford, NSW site

Bellmac Cartons, the family-owned folding carton producer based in Guildford, Sydney has sold its business operations and will cease production from the end of October.

Owner Michael Bellamy’s father started the business in 1973 and it has been a major producer of both corrugated boxes and folding cartons since then. The closure is orderly with all staff and suppliers being paid. The business sale was brokered by Richard Rasmussen’s Ascent Partners and all remaining equipment is to be auctioned off on

The machinery may be of a ‘certain age’ but it is all in full production condition and has been producing fine full-colour UV coated folding cartons right up to the last minute. The main press, a 5-colour Roland Rekord RFK was built in 1982 and has been maintained to a very high standard by an operator who has been with Bellmac for over 30 years. A video of it in action is on the auction website.

Using bought-in photopolymer (flexo) plates; this machine spot coats and flood coats carton board up to 600 x 900mm.
