As a printing machinist with over twenty-five years experience in the print media industry, I have worked on both sheet-fed and web presses. I have a proven track record of producing quality work, and am capable of both overseeing and motivating the crew I work with in order to achieve set targets. Wether its as an operator or a supervisor I have the skills you require.
I am also an accredited OH&S officer, helping to create and ensure a safe workplace.

• Qualified Printing Machinist , with a degree in management.
• Over 25 years experience as a machinist on a number of sheet-fed and web presses . Including Komori’s, Mitsubishi’s, KBA’s, web presses, small offset presses and die cutters.
• Highly motivated with an eye to detail and quality.
• Experience as a supervisor overseeing sheet-fed and web press crews.
• I have excellent communication skills and am used to dealing directly with clients.
• Am punctual, and able to do overtime as required and shift work.

• 1984 – 1986 Sydney Technical College. Completed Printing Machinist Trade Certificate.
• 1985 – 1986 Sydney Technical College. Completed General Printing Certificate.
• 1999. Completed Work Cover NSW OH&S Accreditation course.
• 2012 LF Forklift license.

1997 – 2012 Printing Machinist. Craft Inprint.
Craft Inprint is a well established printing company that is part of the Hannan Group . It is a leading producer of quality print material, ranging from magazine work, brochures, company prospectus’s, posters and miscellaneous commercial work. it has both sheet-fed and web presses, and runs continuously around the clock from Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities
• Operated a 540 Komori on afternoon shift, producing high quality work.
• Operated a 12colour KBA perfecter.
• Assisted on a Heidelberg web and a Harris M110 web when required.
• Operated smaller presses and die cutters when required, including a 240 Komori, GTO, and Heidelberg Cylinder.
• Successfully worked in with clients when needed.
• Supervised the press-room on many occasions, overseeing 4 sheet-fed presses and 2 web presses.
• Assisted in the training of apprentices ranging from 1st year to 4th year.
• Was an accredited OH&S officer for the company.
• Assisted in machine repairs when necessary.
• Helped develop Craft Inprint’s ISO accreditation.

Key achievements
• Produced high quality work, meeting company targets with minimal wastage.
• Worked successfully with a full time offsider, and other crew members.
• Successfully supervised up to 6 presses and 20 employees, checking and signing off on all printed work.
• Liaised between sales staff, management, despatch staff and floor workers.
• Helped to maintain a safe and healthy workplace in my role as an OH&S officer.

1993 – 1997 Printing Machinist. Imprimatur Press.
Imprimatur Press was a company that produced quality commercial work. It also produced speciality work in the reproduction of paintings by well known artists such as D’Arcy Doyle and Brett Whitely.

Key responsibilities
• Operated a 540 Mitsubishi, overseeing all of my own work.
• Operated a 528 inch Komori, overseeing all my own work.
• Operated the guillotine and performed some duties in the pre-press area.
• Responsible for supervising a second crew and checking and signing off on all their work.
• Oversaw the work of the afternoon shift bindery crew until their knock-off time at 18.00.
• Responsible for all incoming and outgoing work on night shift.

Key achievements
• produced quality work meeting production targets.
• Met all client requirements successfully.
• Successfully supervised other crews to the point that their targets were also met.
• Ensured the safe and continuous production of the night shift crew.
