TMF Services employs seven former Australian Envelope staff, five of which will run a new Trade Envelopes factory in Brisbane.

According to TMF general manager, Brad Fensom, expansion into Queensland has been a consideration for some time now, “but we have had so much going on we couldn’t give it the focus it required.

“The recent events concerning Australian Envelopes were very painful for the loyal AE staff, many who are personal friends. But with one door closing another has opened and we have been lucky enough to get some very experienced local people on board,” he said.

The new Slacks Creek-based Trade Envelopes branch, a division of TMF Services, will be entirely run by ex AE staff on two Halm Jet presses. TMF’s NSW operations in Sydney have taken on two former AE employees.

Glen Gibson, Trade Envelopes’ new QLD manager is positive about opportunities as TMF already services clients in the state. “While some envelope manufacturers are reducing capacity and staff, we are taking the attitude that while times are tough, if you stay focused on service and operate on a low cost basis there are opportunities throughout the market.

“Queensland will continue to be a growth market in Australian industry, we can hopefully assist printers and mailing houses take advantage of that growth,” said Gibson.
