Perth printer takes top prize in Fuji Xerox Australia’s self promotion competition, winning $10,000 for its demonstration of the Color 1000 press capabilities.

Both Sydney judges found Scott Print’s entry to be the clear winner. Matt Batten, creative director at Wunderman, and Mike O’Rourke, creative group head at BWM, reviewed the 16 entries submitted from all over the nation.

The ‘Who’s No.1 in Self Promotion?’ launched November last year, was designed to support all Color 800/1000 Press customers in the promotion of their new press for their business.

Batten says with such high quality design and construction, Scott Print showed not only Fuji Xerox’s capabilities but their own.

“Amongst a field of solid efforts and well-presented marketing pieces, Scott Print created a comprehensive campaign tied together with a single theme that allowed them to be intriguing, imaginative, and creative, all the while showcasing the benefits of the Color 1000 Press with every touch point,” he said.

Material was judged on its creative merit, effectiveness in promoting the customer’s business and innovative utilisation of their press’ capability.

Rio Chard, marketing and BDM at Scott Print, says after purchasing and trailing the machine, the company found the Color 1000 to be an innovation that pushed the boundaries of digital printing.

“Deciding that this innovation was a ‘printing dream come true’ and that we had a unique angle to get the message to the market, we settled on the theme, a ‘Fairy Tale’.

Scott Print installed Perth’s second Color 1000 press in October last year, and was amongst the first 10 to order the press nation-wide. To date, Fuji Xerox has installed 56 Color 800/1000 presses locally, with a further four ordered and ready for installation.
