Neill will become an ambassador for Fuji Xerox, used as the face of its marketing and promotional campaigns this year. He will tour Australia making guest appearances on the company’s behalf.

Fuji Xerox also confirmed its continuing sponsorship of Manly United Football Club (MUFC), the very same club where Neill began his career. By sponsoring the Manly United Football Club, the company hopes to raise its profile and contribute to the development of the sport.

For Paul Harman operations manager of Fuji Xerox, the similarities between the company and football was recognisable. “[We] see obvious parallels with the rise of the prominence of football in Australia and the growth of Fuji Xerox printers,” he said. Harman said that Fuji Xerox would work closely with MUFC to organise events that would “benefit plays of all ages and raise the profile of the club.”
Fuji Xerox chose Neill for both his reputation in football and his ties to the Manly precinct where Fuji Xerox is based. “He is a leader in his game and an outstanding player,” said Harman. “This is aligned strongly with Fuji Xerox Printers’ core values and beliefs, including providing the market with leading technology and being an example for other players in the printing and technology industries through our award-winning environmental practices.”

Neill, originally from Northern Ireland, grew up on the northern beaches of Sydney before undertaking a football scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport. He currently plays for West Ham United in the UK.
