Next year’s scholarship programme was announced at the organisation’s quarterly meeting earlier this month, with Samantha Crock, education manager for GAMAA, urging entries from everyone in the industry that has the necessary employer support and meets the academic requirements.

“We are keen to receive applications from professionals working across the printing and graphics industry who are either about to embark on or are already studying for a post graduate degree,” says Crock.

The GAMAA Leadership Programme is unique in allowing successful applicants to study the course of their choice at any recognised Australian or international institution. Applicants are encouraged to select from a range of leadership or business programs that fall within the prescribed criteria.

Another feature of the GAMAA Leadership Programme is the provision of tailored three-day residential workshops that students are required to attend twice yearly. These workshops are also open to the industry at large.

Crock has been instrumental in developing the programme; firstly in her role at the Melbourne Business School in consultation with GAMMA, and subsequently when she joined the organisation as Education Manager to facilitate both the scholarship and the twice yearly residential workshops.

Application forms for scholarships to the 2007 GAMAA Leadership Programme can be obtained from the GAMAA website at www.gamaa.net.au, or via email at sam@gamaa.net.au.

The closing date for entries is 15th October, 2006, and interviews will be held in November.
