PrintNZ has rounded up some of the leading speakers and business thinkers from abroad and at home to head up this year’s Part of Life Conference, which is to be held in conjunction with the 2012 Pride in Print Awards in Auckland on June 28 and 29.

PrintNZ this week named the three keynote speakers to be featured at this year’s event. Top of the list is Göran Roos (pictured), who is an honorary professor at Warwick Business School in the UK and the founder of Intellectual Capital Services Ltd., which is a leading think tank on technology and business futures.

He will be joined by home grown economy guru, Gareth Kiernan, who is the managing director of Infometrics, where he manages the company’s forecasting team and oversees its subscription service, and Philip Lawrence, the head of Ecostrategy in Australia, and an environmental and business strategist.

“This is a once-in-two-years opportunity to hear world-class speakers at an affordable price,” says PrintNZ chief, Joan Grace. “We have secured the return of some of the top speakers who have been highly-rated by previous conference delegates and also brought in some new blood to give us a fresh insight as to the latest trends.”

While the full roster of speakers for the event is still to be finalised, PrintNZ has confirmed several speakers so far, including David Nottage, a director of NZ-based training company, TORQUE, New Zealand Herald business columnist, Debbie Mayo-Smith, and Malcolm Keif, professor in the Graphic Communication Department at California Polytechnic State University in the US, who will be speaking about printed electronics.

Grace says the conference is expected to look closely at new ideas and industry innovations from around the world, identify opportunities to increase efficiencies and business performance, and highlight the printing industry’s best practice.
