Information is everywhere in this internet age. We assume the answers to our business and technical challenges is out there, already known if only we can trace it. The sheer abundance of information makes the dissemination of knowledge quite a challenge. Knowledge and information are two different things, which is why structured learning is of even greater value in a rising tide of unmediated information.

A danger is that we assume we can access everything from our desktop, and don’t bother to go along to the seminars and presentations of experts. Learning the important issues  to address and how to go about acting on them is key to understanding. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing, but a glut of information can be even worse.
