Two positions are available. One is in General Industries and the Other in General Industries (including PRINTING).

These positions are required to manage up to 3 business units operating at the Wellington Correctional Centre.

Industries include: bakery, food services, printing, packaging and assembly, laundry services, centre hygiene, horticulture, ground maintenance, creative work centre, community projects and general industries.

Total remuneration package valued to; $92,781 p.a. Remuneration package includes a fixed salary of $84,079 p.a. employer’s contribution to superannuation and leave loading. Responsible for the effective and efficient management of several business units at the Wellington Correctional Centre.

Selection Criteria: Must meet Correctional Officer entry requirements. Trade certificate or equivalent qualification in the chosen field. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills. Proven experience in strategic and operational planning, management and performance monitoring. Working knowledge of quality control systems. Proven skills and demonstrated commitment to customer service. Ability to meet operational targets and budgets. Experience in ordering procedures and stock control with computer skills. Commitment to the principles of the Way Forward and Work Readiness Program. Willingness and ability to implement change and work in a flexible manner within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to train unskilled workforce, including vocational training. Current driver’s licence and have a willingness/ability to drive within NSW. Common selection criteria also apply.
