Last call for future leaders of the printing industry

Printing companies in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania still have time to get their nominations in for the 2013 Media Super Future Leaders Award being held in conjunction with Printing Industries PICA events.

Companies can nominate any staff member under the age of 30 years who they believe shows exemplary promise as a future leader in the print, packaging, communication and information sectors.

Victorian printers have until close of business September 20 to submit their entries. New South Wales printers have until September 27, while the deadline for printers in Tasmania is October 1.

Bill Healey, CEO, Printing Industries said mostl businesses employed young men and women who would one day become industry leaders.

“High levels of talent and commitment need to be encouraged and nurtured,” said Healey. “The Media Super Future Leaders Award demonstrates that, as an industry, we are serious about promoting achievement and excellence to help develop the industry leaders of tomorrow.”

Nominations should be submitted to the local Printing Industries state office. The Entry Form and criteria can be downloaded here.

All state winners will be eligible for the national award where the winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the 2014 National Print Awards plus $2000 for their superannuation account.

Launched initially at the Tasmanian, NSW and Victorian ceremonies, the award was first presented in 2012. It has been created to recognise and reward exceptional young employees who show promise as our future leaders in print, packaging and graphic communications.

Winners of the 2012 Media Super Future Leader Award were Daniel Dance, GEON (Tasmania) –  Stuart Auld, PMP Print (NSW) and Samantha Alford – GEON (Victoria)
