Two of the global printing industry’s leading digital and offset machinery manufacturers will put aside their competitive differences and join forces to participate in Printing Industries’ Transitioning to Cleaner Printing Technology national workshop progam.

Heidelberg and Fuji Xerox will be combining their industry knowledge to contribute to Printing Industries’ roadshow which is designed to help the Australian printing industry better understand the and implement cleaner print technology.

Printing Industries CEO, Bill Healey, says that having the world’s leading offset and digital press manufacturers contribute their technological input to the program would be a tremendous benefit to attendees.

“Our goal with the roadshow is to provide holistic practical and hand-on strategies for companies to minimise their energy business costs and maximise productivity through the use of cleaner printing technology,” he says.

“There are very clear cost, efficiency and market positioning benefits through understanding where and how a business can manage its energy usage and purchasing as well as being able to optimise equipment efficiencies in both the digital and traditional press areas.

“Having the expertise of industry leaders Heidelberg and Fuji Xerox will provide the manufacturing insights to benefit printing companies, regardless of size or turnover, working in the digital or offset markets.”

The program will run at seven sites around Australia via free three-hour morning workshops from 17 April to 4 May. Registration is essential. The workshops have been produced with the support of federal government funding under the Enterprise Connect Workshops, Industry Intelligence and Networking (WIIN) initiative.
