Photobook maker Momento Pro has reopened its doors at its new location after its big move, with a new addition to the stable: a HP Indigo 7900 digital press from Currie Group.

Geoff Hunt.

Momento Pro opened its new office in Zetland at the start of the month, having outgrown its Chippendale location. “It’s going very well and we’re very glad to be in this new place. We were at our previous site for ten years,” said Geoff Hunt, managing director and founder, adding that the increased floor space will allow the company to expand its product range.

All of Momento Pro’s staff and equipment have made the short three-kilometre move to Zetland, along with a new piece of gear. “Coinciding with the move, we’re also kicking off operations with our new Indigo 7900 digital press. It’s going to be running seven colours including light cyan, light magenta, and the new light light black,” said Hunt. The company is looking at adding more equipment and product lines, including a new binder.

Hot on the heels of the big move, Momento Pro has also unveiled the finalists of its 2017 Australian and New Zealand Photobook of the Year Awards. The Australian ceremony will be held at Sunstudios in Alexandria, on Friday 23 February, while Te Papa Museum in Te Aro, Wellington, will host the New Zealand ceremony on Friday March 9.

Finalists for the Australian and New Zealand Photobook of the Year Awards can be found at Momento Pro’s website.
