Euro Signs & Safety directors Sav Perri and Pino Perri spent a couple of years thinking about a new wide format flatbed printer before finally deciding earlier this year on a Flora 2512. “We needed another printer that was fast enough to keep up with demand for safety signs and cut down on labour time in order to stay competitive,” said Sav Perri.
Technicians from Australian Visual Hardware installed the new Flora 2512 flatbed printer in July and Euro Signs enjoyed an instant increase in the workflow output.
“Install went smoothly and training was a breeze for our staff,” said Perri. “We were up and running and printing signs immediately without any problems. We’re now able to get more work out and there’s less pressure on the guys in the workshop as we no longer need to bond prints to plates.
“The Flora has better features such as automatic head height adjustment, crash bars to avoid damaging the heads, a 2.5m roll to roll media option and is much faster than the other brands for our price bracket. We’d definitely recommend a Flora to anyone who needs fast, reliable turnaround.”
Euro Signs celebrated 20 years in business this year and employs six staff in its modern workshop based in the northern Hobart suburb of Moonah, specialising in all things safety as well as general signage including vehicles, point of sale, real estate and flat signs. It also runs a Roland SolJet Pro 3 XC 540MT, laser engraver and a router.
The company is one of Tasmania's largest stockists of safety signs and related products, including safety cones, bollards, barrier mesh, tactile indicators, convex mirrors, roadwork signs, marking paint and reflective tapes.
Euro Signs and Safety’s showroom is located at 45 Derwent Park Rd, Moonah. Australian Visual Hardware has been the exclusive distributor of Flora Wide Format Printers for the past year.
