The rollout will be the centrepiece of Printing Industries NSW RoadShow that hits 10 regional centres between 22 August and 31 October 2007.

New services being unveiled are all targeted at minimising business costs and improving the bottom line and are part of ongoing service development based on the association’s membership survey in 2006. They include low cost EFTPOS fee terminals covering major credit card transactions and an energy management program to minimise electricity costs in the face of expected major price increases resulting from the drought.

The RoadShow will include special deals on new Adobe and Quark software, training DVDs and training courses including a new range of online courses and industry specific publications.

NSW state general manager, Robert Fuller, said a speaker program would also be featured based on the theme "Is Your Business Ready?"

"The program has been designed to challenge business owners to undertake a genuine analysis of the value of their businesses in preparation for the next phase of their business cycle," he said.

"This could include involvement in mergers, buyouts or takeovers, succession planning, involvement in hubs or expansion. Very few businesses can afford to stand still and all businesses need to know how to handle changing conditions and identify any warning signs of unfavourable conditions.

"BDO Kendalls is supporting our program and will provide Corporate Finance Partner Judith Ryan as guest speaker for some of our sessions."

Fuller said that a slightly different program with a focus on the environment would be run in Central Western NSW. This was developed in response to member requests in the region.

Print Super, a sponsor of the RoadShow, will also be briefing the industry about changes in superannuation and the services available from the printing industry’s own super fund.

"We will also be encouraging attendees to enter the 2007 PrintNSW Excellence Awards and will have information and registration forms leading up to the close of entry registration on 21 September," Fuller said.
