Online library opened for Recognition Awards

Award event dates, location, judging criteria, application forms, function details and the good news follow-up – results and photographs – will all be available through Printing Industries web portal

The move was in response to the many requests Printing Industries receives for award information and results, according to Joe Kowalewski, national communications and technology services manager.

“People, particularly those interstate, don’t always know who to contact for local event information. We often receive calls for something as basic as an entry closing date which the caller has forgotten in their haste to prepare entries at the last minute. They risk missing out simply because they don’t have the necessary information at their fingertips,” he said.

“We can help overcome that problem by making the necessary information available in one spot where it is accessible all day every day. This includes judging criteria, dates, function booking forms even contact details of people you may need to talk to – all from one recognisable and easy to find location.

“For our first phase all the state Printing Industry Craftsmanship Awards (PICA), the ACT Page Awards and PrintNSW Excellence Awards and the National print Awards are listed together with their dates. Each has a subsection containing event information and web links to individual event websites where available, forms and contact information.”

The next phase will see award results and photo coverage from the events included as they are staged throughout the year.

Kowalewski also said that archives of some previous award results would shortly be available. Sectoral award information will be progressively included.
