PIAA to host free print management conference

Australian printers will have the opportunity to learn from global industry leaders on new technologies, machinery and applications, at the country’s inaugural Print Media Management Conference.

Hosted by the PIAA and Print Promotion the two single-day free to attend and fully catered conferences will be held in Melbourne on September 17 and in Sydney the next day September 18.

Print Promotion is backed by leading German print technology developers and by drupa.

Presenting will be international industry representatives from Drupa, Kolbus, HC Moog, IST, Kurz, Heidelberg, Polar Mohr and Kama.

Topics include luxury packaging printing with sheet-fed gravure, by Achim Kurreck of HC Moog; Heidelberg goes digital by Dierk Wissmann; To be LED UV or not to be, by  Thomas Gohl of IST; Rigid box packaging 4.0 – High quality combined with high flexibility, Fred Spangel of Kolbus; Cutting at the height of time by Martin Seifert of Polar; and the next level in packaging and label decoration, by David Murphy of Kurz.

The day long conferences are free, the Melbourne event Sept 17 is at the Novotel on Collins, the Sept 18 Sydney conference at the Harbour Marriott Hotel.
