PMP previously did half of the graphic design and data entry services for the Yellow Pages. However, a new two-year deal means the company’s digital graphic arts division, PMP Digital, will be assuming responsibility for all the compiling and advertising creation for the suite of directories.

The Yellow Pages is published by Sensis, and is Australia’s top buying guide for products and services, with over 2.6 million listings across 80 different directories. The new deal means that PMP, already responsible for printing the entire Sensis catalogue, will be taking on an even more hands-on responsibility for the production of the Yellow Pages.

The PMP Digital team will be deployed to the Sensis offices at Liverpool Street in Sydney to perform the graphic design and data entry duties, while other work will also be performed at the Sensis offices in Melbourne as required. PMP Digital will continue to use Sensis’ in-house software to undertake the work.

PMP last year secured the printing contract for Sensis’ entire catalogue when it purchased McPhersons Printing’ directory unit for $16 million, and is slated to print 30 million Telstra White and Yellow Pages directories every year until 2009.
