HP Indigo hits a high note in New Zealand, reporting a record sales year.

According to Ian Wood, managing director of AM International, the exclusive reseller of HP Indigo products, even though the end of the financial year is not until 31 October, sales are already higher than ever for the group.

“Underpinned by the purchase of two HP Indigo w7200’s by Datam the HP Indigo distributorship in NZ is having its strongest revenue year ever both in terms of machines placed and pages printed. The good news is shared by our customers, with year-on-year page growth in New Zealand in excess of 30 per cent and an impressive seven gold medals at the 2010 Pride in Print Awards," he said.

“The fact that it has been achieved with the printing industry undergoing its largest correction in living memory and an economy showing no growth demonstrates that the future is bright for high quality digital print.”

AM does not intend to rest on its laurels, however, and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a demonstration HP Indigo 3550.  “If print providers want gold medal quality with all the benefits of digital print they should take a close look at this machine,” Wood added.
