The agreement builds on the existing relationship between EPSON and Sign-A-Rama that has seen EPSON 24 inch large format printers in use throughout the franchise stores in Australia since November 2001.

According to Craig Heckenberg, Epson professional graphics division manager, the new machines provide a wider choice of substrates and substantially wider prints at 44 inches, with the added advantage of only using one ink type for both indoor and outdoor use.

“EPSON’s patented ColorFast Ink is unique because it delivers smaller and more uniform pigment particles than conventional pigment ink, encapsulating each pigment particle in resin. The result is a rich colour output previously unseen with pigment ink. ColorFast Ink is lightfast for up to 200 years on some EPSON substrates for indoor use or up to two years in outdoor use when laminated.

“The impact of being able to use one ink for both indoor and outdoor use has a significant impact on the profitability of the Sign-A-Rama stores. It saves a lot of time being able to simply load your paper and print, without having to swap over inks when you change between indoor and outdoor print jobs. This ability represents a significant competitive advantage for Sign-A-Rama,” he said.

Brian Pretorius, Operations Manager at Sign-A-Rama endorses the EPSON product saying it is reliable and easy to use. “The Stylus Pro 10600CF has the potential to increase our productivity and profitability while allowing us to deliver a much wider range of signs with an ease of use previously unheard of.

“Our Franchisees enjoy excellent support from EPSON. . . In a nutshell – we’re very happy to be using and recommending EPSON.”
