Contributing to uplift in sales: Signwave opens in Perth

Sign shop franchise operation Signwave has seen an 18 per cent jump in sales this year, helped by new stores opening in Perth and Adelaide.

The company also says 40 per cent of its Australian stories now top $1m in sales. There are now 19 Signwave franchises operating around the country. Its main rival Signarama has almost 100 stores.

The company says the strong results were fuelled by a growing customer base, and a focus on full-scale comprehensive signage and display solutions for organisations in industries such as construction, retail, healthcare, industrial and education.

Linda Sultman, managing director of Signwave says, “It is satisfying to see the group continuing to really own the mid-tier to corporate market space and excel in servicing this market’s needs.

“We want people to succeed in our network. We are less about franchising and all about small business ownership success.”

Sultmann is looking for growth from existing independent operators, she says, “We really encourage independent sign businesses and print business looking for growth to come and talk to us about how we can fire up their businesses.”

Signwave is owned by Sultman and Dean Rowland, who took on the master franchise from Dalls-based Fastsigns four years ago. The new Perth and Adelaide stores are the first to open since then, with a new Brisbane store is expected to open soon.
