Starleaton has acquired Uniscreen Australia, the local arm of the Uniscreen Group that has supplied solutions to the screen and digital wide format printing industries for over 23 years, with a focus on sublimation papers and inks.

Family-owned Starleaton completed talks with Uniscreen owner and CEO Ross Clarke earlier this year to take over distribution in Australia and the deal took effect from 1 February. In recent weeks, the Starleaton team has been undergoing extensive training on the new range to begin the immediate introduction to their customers.

CEO Ben Eaton says he’s excited to gain access to the Coldenhove sublimation papers. “Coldenhove are the industry leaders and inventors of digital sublimation transfer printing papers, so to be able to add their range to our current offering is a real bonus for us. With the Epson F-series, EFI FabriVu, and Georg+Otto Friedrich fabrics already covering the direct to fabric market for us, a quality transfer paper was the missing link.”

Starleaton will also continue to supply the full range of Kiian inks and Transmatic heat presses.

Existing customers of Uniscreen Australia should see a seamless transition to Starleaton, and the range will be introduced to Starleaton’s existing customers over the next few months.
