  • Konica Minolta gives bizhub series the multi-touch edge

    Konica Minolta is building on the award-winning bizhub range of printers with the new bizhub C754e series, which features expanded multi-touch functionality and more flexible keypad and software options.

    The expanded multi-touch functionality now supports swiping from one menu screen to another, swiping from one function to another, drag and drop to easily move and rearrange thumbnail pages of a file, pinch in and out to enlarge and reduce scanned images in the preview screens and a rotation feature that allows you to move an image to the desired angle.

    Chris Goult (pictured), group product manager, Konica Minolta, says: “We are thrilled with the new additions to the bizhub C754e series.  These new features follow the release of the bizhub C554e models and set the bar for revolutionary multi-touch control panels and a new benchmark in usability.

    “The new e series allows users to create Word, Excel and PowerPoint presentations directly from the MFP touch panel which is more convenient, enabling scanned documents to be converted to text searchable documents that can then be edited as required,” he says.

    This latest high performing multifunction series from Konica Minolta offers one of the lowest energy consumptions available and a reduced environmental impact. The impressively low power consumption is achieved through LED scanner lighting, 3 watt sleep and 0.5 watt power save mode, an innovative dynamic eco-time and in built sensor.

    Efficiency is not compromised as Warp technology achieves a fast warm up time of 22 seconds or less and one of the fastest First Copy Out Times of 5.3 seconds for colour and 3.6 seconds for monochrome.

    Other best-in-class features include  SRA3 capability of up to 300gsm, 1200 dpi print resolution for reproducing small text and fine lines, single pass dual scanning up to 180 opm, as well as the industry’s only compact finisher that can employ a colour 3-sheet Tri-fold function, perfect for automating the collation of multi-page mailings. An optional EFI Fiery Controller is available for environments with workflow and colour management requirements.

    Konica Minolta’s bizhub range of printers is garnering the company national accolades after the C754 series took home three Australian Business Awards.

    The awards, for the bizhub C754 series – bizhub C224 to bizhub C754, include Best New Product, Product Innovation and Product Excellence, and recognise Konica Minolta as a market leader in product development and sustainability.

  • Konica Minolta unveils bizhub C554e

    Konica Minolta has unveiled its latest edition in its popular bizhub series of printers, with the local release of its new bizhub C554e.

    The new ‘e’ series features a number of new and improved multi-touch functionalities as well as enhanced web browser capabilities, which offer a rich and intuitive user experience when using external software applications that are accessed via the MFP user interface.

    The expanded multi-touch functionality now supports swiping from one menu screen to another, swiping from one function to another, drag and drop to easily move and rearrange thumbnail pages of a file, pinch in and out to enlarge and reduce scanned images in the preview screens and a rotation feature that allows you to move an image to the desired angle.

    Other supporting features include an improved, more user-friendly soft 10-key pad, soft keyboard access, a reduction in the sleep mode power consumption (from 3W to 1W) and reduced TEC values as well as two new i-Options.

    The latest high performing multifunction printers from Konica Minolta also feature an impressive range of print speeds and a dual side scanning solution, up to 160 OPM that is available across all five devices and offers some of the fastest scanning speeds in their class.

    These printers are perfect for an environment that has a high demand for scanning, for example the new LK-110 i-Option enables scan to word, scan to excel, scan to PPTx, searchable PDF, encrypted PDF and more. The new LK-111 i-option features a ThinPrint solution to compress print data and reduce output time in server environments.

    The new bizhub C554e series has improved power consumption that reduces operating costs and also showcases an eco meter that displays the machine’s environmental contribution highlighting the devices’ CO2 emissions each month. Best of all the machines are made from Konica Minolta’s proprietary-developed recycled PC/PET plant-based bio-plastic.

  • Konica Minolta launches new press series in Australia

    Konica Minolta mounts the Aussie launch for its next generation high-speed monochrome digital bizhub printer series.

    Setting a new standard in black and white printing, Konica Minolta has launched the highly anticipated bizhub PRESS 1250 and the bizhub PRESS 1052 series, ideal for commercial printing and corporate environments that demand reliable high volume printing.

    These digital monochrome presses are Konica Minolta’s new power houses that feature Konica Minolta’s fastest output speeds.  They offer superior, high resolution print quality as well as strength, versatile paper handling and numerous finishing options. Their capacities ensure they can be used across multiple businesses to enhance performance and productivity.

    The bizhub PRESS 1250 runs at speeds of up to 125 ppm, and is built for a heavy-duty production cycle of up to 3,000,000 impressions per month. The bizhub PRESS 1052 prints up to 105 ppm and both models feature tandem printing capability that double their output speed for big jobs on the tightest of deadlines.

    Konica Minolta is able to offer a dedicated “Envelope Fixing Unit” that can be swapped by operators, when the requirement for Envelope printing is required. This option represents a great opportunity to expand into this unique printing market.

    The NEW series prints at a greatly reduced fixing temperature which limits the effect of heat stress on the media in the fixing process, allowing greater scope for faster print speeds.
