  • Don’t miss Epson’s SureColor showcase at Gold Coast VIIE

Queensland printers will get their first chance to see Epson’s latest eco-solvent printer for the sign and display market, the SureColor SC-S30600, at the Visual Impact Image Expo on the Gold Coast from 19 to 21 April.

Designed and manufactured by Epson from the ground up, the wide-format press uses the manufacturer’s new UltraChrome GS2 ink. This odourless eco-solvent requires no special ventilation, allowing the press to be used in an air-conditioned office environment.

Craig Heckenberg (pictured), business unit manager at Epson Australia, said UltraChrome GS2 was designed specifically to work with the SC-S30600 and the company’s next generation TFP (thin film piezo) printheads.

“Visitors to our stand at VIIE can expect to see the highest image quality possible at extremely affordable prices. Speed, quality, cost and functionality make this our most advanced large format printer yet,” he said.

Epson’s new UltraChrome GS2 ink features a new yellow formulation that is lightfast for up to three years without lamination, while still capable of reproducing a broad colour range for precise colour matching.

Visitors to the Epson stand (G9) will also see the Stylus Pro GS6000, a 64-inch photo-quality printer equipped with the UltraChrome GS eight-colour inkset.

According to the manufacturer, the Pro GS6000 delivers the same print quality as its aqueous printer technologies with a max resolution of 1440 x 1440 dpi along with a MicroPiezo printhead. The printer is capable of generating ink droplets as small as 3.7pl with variable-sized droplet technology.
