  • Jenrite NZ and HP join forces for Technology Expo

Jenrite and HP are joining forces to host a ‘Technology Expo’ on 17 April, with the aim of showcasing a range of new products for the local NZ large format printing industry.

The primary focus of the event will be on new product applications, featuring a series of new print media that are intended to provide businesses with new revenue streams.

The expo will feature Jenrite’s next generation textile media, which the company says results in print quality and colour vibrancy previously only available from dye sublimation when combined with the latest HP Latex Printer.

Also on show will be the HP Scitex flatbed printer, which is regarded as one of biggest selling flatbed in New Zealand in recent times. The HP Scitex FB500 will be in full operation at the show.

Avery Dennison will be featuring its latest ultra-conformable cast films in a live vehicle wrapping demonstration. Avery Dennison technical specialists will be on-hand to talk about this latest development.

Wall decoration is a large and growing market and a wide variety of substrates available for this lucrative market will also be on display.  For HP users, the new free web-based HP WallArt Software will be demonstrated.

The latest cutting, roll laminating, flatbed laminating and trimming technology will also be in full operation to show how to save labour hours out of every day.

New workflow products from GMG, Onyx, Flexi and SignLAB, which are providing print businesses with a totally new approach to this part of the business will also be featured.

Jenrite, which touts itself as the largest supplier of display hardware to the NZ market, will also be launching a series of new displays as well as a full presentation of the existing product line.  This will be one of the few times their full display range will be on display in one place.

The event is open to all and runs from 2pm-7:30 pm on Wednesday 17th April. There will be a door prize for one lucky visitor of an HP Envy x2 notebook, which has a removable screen that operates as a tablet or a fully functional notebook when connected to the keyboard base.

Over recent months Jenrite has introduced a wide variety of new technology developments. In July last year packaging and print giant, Esko, chose the Auckland-based distributo to handle the sales and support of its cutting tables and 3D design software in the New Zealand market.

With offices and showrooms in Wellington, Christchurch and its hometown, Auckland, the graphic arts and printing equipment distributor is also tasked with providing support and provisions of spare parts and consumables for Esko’s most popular models.

Jenrite first partnered up with HP in 2010.

At the time, Jenrite director, Steven Kemp, (pictured) said the inclusion of the HP Scitex and HP Designjet commercial products would expand the company’s offering enabling Jenrite “to capitalise on our success with the new HP Designjet L25500 latex inks printer and allow a return to the flatbed market.”
