Meet at 7.45 at the Captain Cook Statue in Hyde Park South (opposite the Australia Museum) for a historic photo opportunity and then afterwards join in at the Ricoh Breathles pavilion at Bondi Beach. All runners results will be published here next week along with photos of brave efforts, try hards and yes, even the winners.

Its the first time for the Ricoh PrintRun to enter in the City 2 Surf so why not go down in the history books as being one of the first of the printing industry professionals to slog it out and reap the rewards.

Already, entries are coming in from all quarters of the industry and from runners of every rank. Pacers, plodders, and perspiring pavement-pounders of all levels of fitness are coming together to see who makes it to the finish line first.

Fired with ambition and enthusiasm to make every stride count, industry HR guru and ultra-fit strider, James Cryer, is looking to beat his recent form of around 60 minutes for the 14 km. “Last year I did my knee a week before the run so I couldn’t compete, but this year I’ll be there,” he said. He complains about a recent bout of flu but punters reckon hes simply trying to ease the odds.

He faces tough competition from lightening fast Jack Starnawski from Oc who has led his team in recent 100 km endurance trials. And there are sure to be a number of dark horses in there too.

But remember, it’s a FUN RUN! You don’t have to be the quickest, but you do have to enter City to Surf then drop us a line at PrintRun@print21online.comand well see you on the morning.

Look: even publishers and marketing managers can take up the challenge. What’s stopping you?
