Liquidator confirms that the deal with Michael Smith of Perfectly Bound is off and the remaining kit from the failed finishing company will go to a public auction in the next few weeks.

The continuing saga is being keenly watched by other print finishing companies who have expressed interest in the equipment. Administrators, Cor Cordis, will publish a list in the near future.

The aborted deal was regarded as a ‘rescue package’ by previous owner, Samantha Rogers who saw it as a means of paying off some creditors. The TLC Silverwater premises have remained shuttered while the negotiations went on.

Michael smith was unavailable to give his side of the story at time of publication, although the administrators said the deal collapsed because of financial reasons.

The downfall of TLC was blamed on the failure of Focus Press, the largest industry collapse in Sydney this year. It is claimed TLC was owed $175,000.
