Screen GP Australia and its exclusive dealer Graphic Art Mart have scored a well deserved Hot Pick at PrintEx/Visual Impact for the Truepress Jet W3200UV flatbed printer, pumping out sheets at 150 square metres per hour on stand VC12.

Visiting from Japan was Mr Yukiyoshi Tanaka, General Manager of Graphic Arts Sales who, along with local Managing Director Peter Scott and Graphic Arts Mart Sales Manager Michael Liveris (pictured) were delighted to receive the award from Print21's Dalia Chamma.

The W3200 saw its first Australian installation in November when Screen’s intended demonstration machine was diverted to Flash Graphics in Sydney where it pounded away producing retail signage and POP throughout the busy Christmas and New Year sale periods.

Since then, three more have been ordered but the one on working display at Visual Impact is only the second one in the country. At 150 sqm/hr of near-photographic quality it is by far the fastest flatbed UV working at the show. It earned Hot Pick points for also being a high-uptime and solidly built device (by Inca UK), with automated head cleaning, mapping of nozzles to keep printing even when there is a blockage, by assigning adjacent nozzles and a floorspace-saving moving bed rather than a long fixed bed over which the ink carriage travels.

Add to this its new roll option which turns the W3200 into a fast 3.2 metre roll-to-roll printer in seconds, and it’s a clear winner in the hotly contested flatbed UV stakes.
