Pioneer: Vale Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor, long time owner and managing director of print equipment supplier Photo Electronic Services (PES), has passed away.

Taylor, 65, established national supplier Photo Electronic Services as a 24-year-old in 1977, and ran it from its Melbourne base ever since, his mission was to bring best in class equipment to Australian print businesses.

He leaves behind a company which has Durst large format and textile printers, Barbieri colour management tools, and Caldera rips in its portfolio. PES – which has a quartet of service technicians – will continue in its current form.

Two of his three children, Clayton Taylor and Krystal Welsh, are involved in the business.

Taylor was known for his love of life – his passion was flying planes, including his beloved twin engine Cessna, and he got back into horseriding just two years ago.

His funeral takes place tomorrow (Thursday Dec 13) at 11am at the Eltham Community and Reception Centre, 801 Main Road, Eltham, Vic. All who knew Paul are welcome. No dress code.
