Winds of change: Jim Walsh joins OKI

OKI Data Australia has appointed industry veteran Jim Walsh as its Sydney-based business development manager for the company’s range of wide format printers. 

Walsh joins OKI with more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the printing and IT industries and will be responsible for all channels, sales and go-to-market strategies for the wide format print business.

“We are excited to welcome Jim to the OKI family,” says Alex Kawamura, ANZ MD, OKI Data Australia. “His extensive skills and experience gained in the wide format market will be of immense value to our channel partners as they set out to support successful customer outcomes in this market. Our channel partners, prospects, customers, as well as OKI, will benefit from his insight and knowledge.”

Walsh previously worked with Fuji Xerox as a wide format specialist for new business development and was employed at Epson Australia as business development manager for the company’s range of business inkjet and wide format AEC printer solutions.

Walsh also worked at Océ Australia for over 11 years in a variety of senior sales roles and has worked for a range of IT vendor and service organisations, including Sophos, PowerServe, Eclipse Group and BTA Australia.

OKI Data Australia offers customers a portfolio of large format inkjet printers for the sign and graphics market which are well suited for both indoor and outdoor applications including banners, backlit, fleet and vehicle graphics as well as wallpaper, pop displays, canvas, floor and exhibition graphics. The company also supplies high-quality large-format monochrome LED multifunction printers.
