The company will launch a new 6000sph version of its B2 digital inkjet sheetfed press the AccurioJet 60000. It will release AlphaJet, a new MGI digital embellishing system, and have its own AccurioShine 3600 digital embellisher on the stand. It will also have a new square spined booklet maker from Plockmatic for its cutsheet toner-based digital print systems on the stand.

It will launch a new high chroma digital colour printer, the C84hc, which will reproduce ‘close to’ RGB, so enabling a wider pantone gamut.

The 2400sqm Konica Minolta booth will have no less than 20 new products on show, all designed around the principles of innovation, ease of use, and sustainability.

Presenting at the drupa Media Week, Olaf Lorenz, senior general manager for digital transformation at Konica Minolta, said, “The stand is organised as a Smart Factory. Visitors will see how digital workflow with automation in print solutions can enable a high level of efficiency.”

The stand in fact will run like a modern fast food restaurant, with visitors able to order samples through touchscreens, which will then be printed on demand there and then.

Lorenz said, “Konica Minolta is looking at the entire process, from brand planning, to print and production, to post press and logistics. Visitors to the stand will see the tangible outcome of this approach.”

The AccurioPress C14000, which has already seen some 2100 units installed since its launch, will be at the centre of the stand. The new PowerSquare PSQ7000 bookletmaker from Plockmatic will be running with the cutsheet printers.

The AccurioLabel digital label presses, which have been installed in 1500 print businesses, will also be featured.High speed: Konica Minolta C14000
