30 YEAR REUNION FOR SELIGSON & CLARE

It was a blast from the past when more than 50 former staff members of Seligson & Clare Australia – and the wider Aldus Group – reunited for lunch at Melbourne’s Notting Hill Hotel.

The group, which came from as far afield as Perth, South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales, represented former engineers, service technicians and warehouse staff, sales people, support staff, and state and senior management.

Organiser Nick Charalambous said it was a fantastic event and, hopefully, the first of many. “The years fell away as everyone started chatting, reviving old friendships, and sharing many happy memories,” he said, “and with a new Facebook page now in action, we’re looking forward to keeping in touch and getting together again well before another 30-something years elapses.”

Seligson & Clare was a leading supplier to the print industry in Australia and New Zealand for 65 years, representing leading brands including Heidelberg, Polar, Stahl, Muller Martini, Compugraphic and others. It was part of the Aldus Limited group of companies, which also included ACP Polychrome, Aldus Graphics NZ, Aldus Engineering (which still operates independently today under the Aldus name) and Aldus Financial Services.

In 1992, following its acquisition by press manufacturer Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, it became Heidelberg Australia.
