Dscoop sees new HP Indigo launches
The first in-person HP Indigo user group event since Covid is taking place this week, with printers seeing new launches from HP at their location in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
Dcsoop Edge has some 700 printers in attendance at the two-day event, including a group from Australia, with organisers saying the conference heralds the return of the world’s biggest graphic arts user group to in-person events.
HP is using the opportunity to tell printers it is introducing a fifth-colour station for its high-volume non-stop HP Indigo 100K, along with an auto pallet replacement (APR).
Since its launch 100 HP Indigo 100Ks have been installed around the world, including two in Australia, at CMYKhub.
HP Indigo is sold and serviced by Currie Group in Australia and New Zealand.
HP Indigo vice president Haim Levit told assembled printers that the new HP Indigo 15K for the premium printing market is now commercially available. The HP Indigo 15K comes with high-definition printing and FM screens, and versatility enabled by a wider range of substrates, now offering additional options with up to 600 microns (24 pt). New inks include ElectroInks Premium White and Invisible Yellow. The company says its new high definition FM stochastic screens support increased sharpness for halftone text.
Levitt said HP Indigo has now installed 1300 B2 Indigos. The enhancements on the 15K are retrofittable on the HP Indigo 12000, with Hero Print already taking up the option.
The company also released HP Spark, which is the next generation of the award-winning Mosaic and Collage solutions. In addition it is showing new inks, and other future develop0ments from its R&D labs.
