EPRODUCTIVITY SOFTWARE ACQUIRES THARSTERN
In its first major acquisition since it was spun out of EFI, eProductivity Software (ePS), has acquired print and packaging MIS developer Tharstern, and branded it as ePS Tharstern.
The company says the move will "solidify" the ePS presence among the small and medium sized operators market, and will continue to drive geographical diversification of the business, while adding new technologies to the ePS portfolio.
Tharstern has a significant presence in Australia and in New Zealand, as well as other English-speaking countries including the US, South Africa, Ireland and its home base England. It has 600 customers around the world, with 52 staff, all of whom will remain with the company.
Tharstern will now be under the Print ePS division of ePS’ product portfolio, and Tharstern CEO Keith McMurtrie will continue to oversee its day-to-day operations.
According to ePS, the addition of Tharstern furthers its inorganic growth strategy and pursuit of delivering greater value to customers and the industry at large.
“We are excited to welcome Tharstern’s customers and talented employees to the ePS family,” said Gabriel Matsliach, CEO of ePS. “We will continue to support Tharstern’s existing customers with the same enthusiasm they have come to expect, and we look forward to providing them with additional value, by leveraging ePS’ global presence, industry knowhow, and rich product portfolio.”
Tharstern’s team members will participate in advancing ePS’ cloud offering, growth strategy, and driving expanded customer value.
“We are excited to join the ePS family, and we are confident in the additional value ePS can bring to our customers,” said Keith McMurtrie, CEO of Tharstern. “ePS has the technology, solutions, and global reach to enable continued growth and success across the Tharstern customer base for years to come.”
