FUJIFILM BI LAUNCHES 3 NEW PRESSES
Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia is launching three new production colour press models; the Revoria Press EC1100 and Revoria Press SC180 / SC170.
The company says these new digital presses “deliver superior productivity with high image quality”, thanks to new colour management features.
The Revoria Press EC1100 is described as a high-volume workhorse, capable of printing at 100 pages per minute, whereas the Revoria Press SC180 / SC170 cater to smaller volumes, printing at 80 pages and 70 pages per minute.
All three new models can handle a broad range of paper weights, from 52gsm to 400gsm , and various paper sizes from small sized paper of 98x148mm to banner sheets of 330x1200mm .
According to Fujifilm BI, the Air Suction Feeder improves the feed performance of all media, including paper carrying a lot of paper dust, pre-printed paper using powder, paper with uneven texture, and coated paper that is prone to poor feeding.
Stable and high-speed feeding is achieved for various paper types, from lightweight to heavyweight, small sizes to long banner sheets.
The Revoria Press EC1100 and Revoria Press SC180 / SC170 offer a newly developed colour management feature, called Color Profile Maker for Display, which can match colours accurately by adjusting the colours on the monitor to match the printed output.
The Revoria Press SC180 / SC170 has the ability to scan previously printed materials from the same or other presses, to reproduce consistent colour when reprinting. Fujifilm says colours are matched “easily and effectively” when reprinting while reducing errors and wastage.
AI automatically reviews the scene for each photograph on the page and corrects it. Each photograph will be automatically enhanced if any lacklustre conditions are identified, such as the image being too dark or too bright, backlight exposure, correction of skin tones, and bringing out the hues in blue skies.
In all three models the print server, Revoria Flow, performs rip processing at 1,200dpi and 10-bit colour, generating “high-quality” image data. Along with Revoria Flow, Fiery servers will also be available for the new presses at a later date.
There is a versatile line-up of in-line post-processing options are available, catering to creasing, saddle stitching, three-way trimming, and square-back finish for saddle stitch binding.
Chris Lynch, general manager, Graphic Communication Services at Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia, said, “We are excited to introduce our customers to the latest additions within our Revoria portfolio. Our customers are always on the lookout for new innovative technology to transform their business, and the new Revoria Press EC1100 and Revoria Press SC180 / SC170 are just that. We can’t wait to show our customers how the incredible colour management features can help them deliver consistent high quality print, with ease.”
The printers all have Fujifilm’s Remote Services capability, which delivers responsive assistance and implements pre-emptive measures via remote connection to a customer’s support systems and tools. Remote Services can improve machine dependability, uptime, and productivity, while automatically taking care of any firmware updates.
