HORIZON LAUNCHES MARK IV STITCHLINER
Finishing technology developer Horizon is launching a new iCE StitchLiner system, Mark IV, designed for the high-speed production of high quality sheetfed booklets. Horizon is represented in ANZ by Currie Group.
The new iCE StitchLiner Mark IV makes booklets at speeds of 6,000 an hour. It incorporates Horizon’s cloud-based iCE LiNK workflow as standard, and uses cloud technology to automate workflow, proving a ‘totally connected’ work environment.
Feed is either sheet or rolls, making the Mark IV suitable for both jobs produced by sheet, either offset or digital, and either inline or near line operation with the new generation of digital continuous feed presses.
It has non-stop operation, prints on a wide variety of substrates, with variable thickness and variable stitch lengths.
It has touch panel display, and can be operated from a tablet. The intuitive dashboard reports real-time production analysis, for improved efficiency and profitability, remote update capabilities and scheduled maintenance, resulting says Horizon in less downtime.
Initial station is a jogger, followed by the scoring section, the fold section, the stitching section, the infeed / fore-edge trim section, the top and bottom trim section, and the delivery section.
The iCE StitchLiner Mark IV has a range of options, emailing the system to be specified exactly to individual businesses' requirements.
Will Currie, Product Category Manager – Finishing, at Currie Group, said, “The next generation technology, that the new Horizon Mark IV is a part of, is taking yet another leap forward into the world of automation and real time data accessible to production managers, owners and the like. This helps production teams to accurately prescribe time to finish on each job and embrace just in time production in an ever-demanding market.”
