Foil is in gold, silver, white and a choice of colours, and it also offers lamination, spot gloss and dry coating. The foils, available from third party suppliers, are suitable for foiling over toner.

According to Konica Minolta the desktop solution has a simple, quick job setup process, making embellishment available in-house “at a printer’s fingertips”.

Benefits include high value-added printing and high quality CMYK overprint on foil. Special effects include toner foiling, metallic colour foil, lamination films, and spot gloss highlights.

The company says easy operation enables short lead times, in-house added-value print services, and it says the affordable price allows users to bring a special finishes to projects.

Tatjana Ferguson, product marketing manager, Production and Industrial Print, said, “We have seen increasing demand from printshops for a low-volume entry-level digital embellishing system. Print businesses are wanting to offer bling with their print, and the AccurioShine 101 enables them to do just that, in-house, at a great price.”

Ferguson says the AccurioShine is best suited to runs up to 100. It is available from now, and can be seen in action at the Konica Minolta showrooms in Sydney and Melbourne.

Typical applications include business cards and shop cards, invitations, leaflets, and direct mail.
